One of the major reasons many become stuck and stagnate in their daily life’s walk is because they don’t understand the seasons of their lives. Ecclesiastes 3:1-9 starts off with, “To everything there is a time and season…” God is a a God of seasons, cycles and patterns and we need to learn to work with God’s timing and not against it.
There are times when we will have to war to stay in the timing of God. We war through praying, singing songs of breakthrough and freedom, and by practicing various techniques that lift our spirits and make our connection to God deeper. Here is a prayer for consistency through each storm of life:
“Father God, we thank you for instilling in us the spirit of consistency. That regardless of the circumstances of life, we keep coming and going for you. Please help us to be a persistent people who will not turn around from the tasks and purposes that you have put before us. Father, we thank you for creating in us a action-oriented work ethic and a desire to accomplish all the endeavors you’ve called us to do, secular and spiritual. We bind up a haughty spirit and loose a spirit of gratefulness and generosity. Thank you for wisdom in every circumstance. Help us stay the course, sowing in spite of what we feel, doing it when no one is patting us on the back, investing because you have given us the assignment. Father, we thank you for a deliberate attitude and fortitude for Kingdom work. In the name of Jesus Christ we pray. Amen.”
